In a footnote to yesterday’s post about the Kindle, ABC News reported that John Grisham of legal thriller fame is going electronic. The author stated that all of his titles would be available electronically, and he mentioned the Amazon Kindle specifically.

The same report also forecast a $99 Iphone sometime this summer. This means that the Iphone’s popular eReader app, Stanza, just got another place to call home.

Both platforms give writers new opportunities to get our work out there at nearly the speed of light. A writer that engages eReaders with a worthy work will instantly generate buzz on the web that will translate to books sold, whether its paper or plastic.
